1. Acceptance and website use

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You may use the website for lawful, personal purposes and may not interfere with its operation, security, forms, servers or other users.

2. Tools and information

Investment illustrations, financial-planning content and life-cover calculations are general educational starting points based on simplified assumptions and the information entered or displayed. They are not personalised financial advice, an investment guarantee, a formal financial-needs analysis, an insurance quotation, an underwriting decision or a recommendation to buy a particular product.

Review the applicable approved product documentation and your circumstances with an appropriately authorised financial professional before making an investment, insurance or other financial decision.

3. Adviser referrals

If you request adviser contact, MyCoverMap may transmit your consented enquiry to the authorised financial adviser or financial services provider identified when you request contact, or an authorised adviser assigned to the enquiry. A referral does not guarantee product eligibility, acceptance, a particular return, premium, policy term or underwriting result.

The authorised adviser/FSP and relevant product provider are responsible for their own regulated activities, disclosures, advice, product documentation, quotations, underwriting and contracts.

4. Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep information and calculations accurate and the website available, but content, calculations, links and third-party services may contain errors or become unavailable. We may update, suspend or withdraw features when reasonably necessary.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the MyCoverMap brand, website design, original text, calculation interface, source code and graphics are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, resell, scrape, frame or commercially exploit them without permission, except where law expressly allows it.

6. Third-party services and links

This website may link to or integrate with third-party hosting, analytics, advertising, communications, adviser or product-provider services. Those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

7. Disclaimer and limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, the website and tools are provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that limitation, MyCoverMap is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on an illustrative tool result or for independent acts or omissions of third-party advisers, FSPs or product providers.

8. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy & POPIA Notice, Cookie Notice and Enquiry & Contact Consent.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be dealt with by a court or forum having lawful jurisdiction, subject to consumer rights and other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
